Four people have been killed in a crash on the Curnick Ndlovu highway in Inanda, KwaZulu Natal.

 Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst says preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of a water tanker lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Herbst says two of the occupants were trapped in the wreckage.

“Netcare 911 responded to reports of a serious collision in Inanda. A report from the scene indicates the driver of a heavy motor vehicle lost control and rolled over. The occupants of a truck – two males and two females were trapped in the wreckage. Ethekwini fire and rescue services used the jaws of life to free them. The patients were found to have no signs of life and sadly declared dead at the scene. All necessary authorities are to investigate,” says Herbst.
