Four killed in KZN crash

Four people burnt to death on Tuesday night, after they were entrapped in their bakkie, following a collision with a truck near the intersection of the R603 and R624 outside Eston, south of Camperdown in KwaZulu-Natal.

The driver of the truck suffered serious injuries, was treated and transported to Northdale Hospital.

The exact cause of the crash is still unknown and the police are investigating.

ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell says, “The four occupants of the bakkie were found entrapped and burnt beyond recognition. The driver of the lorry, a male in his 30s, had suffered serious injuries, was treated and transported to Northdale Hospital. It is unknown as to the exact cause of this horrific incident, but the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.”
