Five suspects arrested in connection with the kidnapping of 13-month-old Eden Laird from his family home in Brackendowns in Ekurhuleni will appear in the local magistrate’s court on Monday.
Eden was reported missing last Wednesday.
It’s alleged that his family’s domestic helper took the child from his home for a walk from which they never returned.
The suspects demanded a R6 million ransom for the baby’s safe return.
Police set up a sting operation which led to the child being found at Windmill Park near Boksburg at the weekend.
Five suspects including the domestic helper and four Zimbabwean nationals were arrested and are due in court.
