Five family members killed in the Free State

Acting Free State Police Commissioner, Solly Lesia, has ordered the mobilisation of the 72-hour activation plan to track down the killers of five family members in the Marakong Village in QwaQwa.

The police found their bodies on Sunday morning after receiving a report of people being burnt in the village.

The body of a female with a gunshot wound was discovered outside a mud hut and that of a male inside the house.

The burnt bodies of a mother, her daughter, and son were found in a neigbouring shack.

Her 11-year-old grandson was attacked with a knobkierie and has been admitted to hospital.

The motive for the killing is still unknown.
