Excitement amongst football fans for upcoming Telkom Knock out final

Excitement is building up as football fans gear up for the Telkom Knock Out Final taking place at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Kwamashu, North of Durban Saturday evening.

Bidvest Wits will be up against Bloemfontein Celtic.

The 9 000 seater stadium is expected to be packed.

This is the first Telkom Knock Out Final to be played in KwaMashu.

Wits University will try and win the tournament for the first time since its inception in 2006.

While Bloemfontein Celtic will be looking for their second win of the competition, after winning it in 2012.

Judging by the teams performances in the Premier League, Celtics is in a better position lying 8th while Wits is at the bottom.

Football fans are upbeat.

A football fan shares the excitement: “It’s a really great feeling. We feel honoured, we haven’t had a final. The final is a big thing. We thank Telkom for that.”

Another fan saying: “It is a good opportunity for us here to market our township as well as to give our people business opportunity as you know people will be coming from all over the country to watch the match.”

The ground seems to be in good condition.

The winners will pocket R4 million.
