The lion that was spotted around the Marloth Park area near Komatipoort in Mpumalanga has been recaptured. The lion, believed to have escaped from the Kruger National Park, was tracked and captured by the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and Kruger National Park rangers.

Spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency, Kholofelo Nkambule says after a tip-off they dispatched a team to go and help to track down the lion.
