Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Northern Cape Education Separtment says it’s concerned that a 12-year-old epileptic girl from Pampierstad has not attended school for four years.

Bonolo Ditlhakanyana initially went to the Gaoshupe Makodi Primary School in 2014, but was removed because the school said she was a slow learner.

Ditlhakanyana suffers from severe epilepsy.

The provincial Social Development department has confirmed the 12-year-old struggled to adjust and fit in at the local school.

For the last four years Bonolo has been at home.

Her mother Keadimilwe Sethe desperately wants her to go to school.
