The second cricket test between England and India at Lords in London continues to be marred by rain.

After a completely washed-out first day, play finally got underway.

England captain Joe Root won the toss and without any hesitation, put India in to bat.

His decision was immediately vindicated with Jimmy Anderson claiming the wickets of openers Murali Vijay and Lokesh Rahul.

Captain Virat Kohli found himself strolling to the wicket with the score on 10 for the loss of two wickets.

However, one run later, rain forced the players off the field for an early lunch after only six and a half overs bowled.
