The names of the elderly couple, murdered in their Summerstrand home in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, have been released.
Police spokesperson Alwin Labans says they were André and Lydia Saaiman.

Police came and opened the door and found the couple tied up with cable ties and they had wounds to the head.
They also found an axe on the floor.
The home was ransacked, but police cannot say yet what is missing.
They say the gardener, who lives on the property, also seems to be missing, his TV was still playing.
