EFF slams US, France for slave trade in Libya

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) blames the US, France and Nato for the recent reports of a slave trade in Libya.

The party’s spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has released a statement.

“The coast guards selling people are financed and trained by the European Union and NATO to stop Africans from crossing the Mediterranean ocean to Europe,” says Ndlonzi.

As reactions of fury continue to pour in on the exposed slave trade in Libya, the EFF has added its voice.

He believes the slave trade is part of lawlessness that is a direct result of  “the sponsored murder of Moummar Gaddafi by the US, France and NATO”

Ndlonzi says, “The global community in its entirety should also hang their heads in shame for being complicit; we appeal to the African Union to immediately intervene forcefully if needs be, to stop the slavery.”

The EFF also asks Arab-African countries such as Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia to condemn the gross dehumanisation of black people by people of Arabic origin.
