Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has decided to postpone its court challenge against National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete to force her to schedule a no confidence motion on President Jacob Zuma for this week.

The party’s motion is scheduled for the 22nd of February, but the party had wanted it to be re-scheduled for this week.

EFF Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi explains, “The EFF has postponed its urgent application to court in relation to bringing the motion of No Confidence to happen this week, due to the engagement that has started with the African National Congress leadership. We shall advise the public on the way forward as soon as the engagement has reached a conclusion.”
