With 48.76% of voting districts declared in Mpumalanga, the EFF is putting up a serious fight to unseat the DA as the official opposition in the Provincial Legislature.
As it is stands, the ANC is leading at 66.59% in what is their long-standing stronghold, with the EFF second at 12.82 and the DA following quite closely at 12.74.
The EFF had been the third biggest party in the province after winning 6.26% of the vote share in 2014, behind ANC (78.23%) and DA (10.40%).
