A six-month old baby has died after being mauled by a dog at a home in Primrose, Germiston, east of Johannesburg.
Paramedics arrived to find the baby with serious bite wounds. He was already dead.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says paramedics were led into the lounge of the home where they found the body of the child.
Paramedics assessed the young boy and found that he had sustained several serious bite wounds and showed no signs of life.
The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known.
