Bathabile Dlamini slams High Court judges

Reading Time: < 1 minute

African National Congress Women’s League (ANCWL) President Bathabile Dlamini has taken a swipe at the judiciary, in particular on Pretoria High Court judges who ruled that President Jacob Zuma is conflicted and that Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa should be the one who appoints the National Director of Public Prosecution.

Addressing a rally at Clermont outside Durban, Dlamini accused some judges of having lost credibility.

Dlamini was speaking at a gathering which will be addressed by ANC presidential hopeful Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

“Judges must be neutral if they want us to respect them. There is no justice that was taken on the issue of the NPA.”

Meanwhile, on Friday the presidency said in a statement they might appeal the Pretoria High Court judgment which ruled that President Zuma cannot appoint a National Director of Public Prosecutions because he is conflicted.
