Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), MEC Sipho Hlomuka has deployed a disaster management team to Ulundi following a tornado that struck in northern KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday.
This was the second tornado in 24 hours.
On Friday night, a tornado ripped through Utrecht leaving about 20 houses destroyed in the Waterval Correctional Centre.
This brings a total of four tornadoes striking the province in November after eMpolweni in New Hanover and Bergville, killing two people and injuring nearly 20.
MEC Hlomuka says despite no injuries being reported in Ulundi, disaster management teams are expected to assist affected communities.
