City of Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille has blamed the DA for stalling her application at the Western Cape High Court. She wants access to the Steenhuisen report.

De Lille claims the DA was requested to submit its responding affidavit on June 18, but only did so on Wednesday.
It’s now back and forth between De Lille and the DA – as the party claims that it responded within reasonable time – as the application was not an urgent one.

The report found that De Lille could be guilty of gross misconduct.

The matter has now been postponed to the the first of November.

She is challenging the report which the DA is using as the basis for misconduct charges against De Lille. She says the report contains findings and recommendations based on untested allegations.

On Wednesday, De Lille won her bid in the same court to set aside the DA’ termination of her party membership.
