Cape Town Mayor, Patricia de Lille, is expected to meet with the communities of Gugulethu and Philippi on Tuesday to discuss solutions to the current unrest in the area.
Four people have so far been arrested on charges of public violence in Gugulethu.
The arrests follow ongoing violence in the area after angry backyard dwellers attempted to occupy land in the area.
Mayoral spokesperson, Zara Nicholson says on Monday de Lille met with various councillors from Gugulethu and Philippi and city officials for a briefing session on the current situation in the two communities.
