African National Congress (ANC) Deputy president David Mabuza is on Tuesday expected to address the South African Communist Party‘s (SACP) fourth Special National Congress in Kempton Park.

Chairperson of the SACP, Senzeni Zokwana, has called for unity at the four-day congress which started on Monday.

The mid-term gathering of communists is called to review progress on the implementation of resolutions of the last congress.

Members of alliance partners, the ANC and Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) as well as other fraternal parties from Cuba, Venezuela and China are attending the congress.

Zokwana has implored delegates to debate robustly.
