DA caucus labels De Lille a bully

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Democratic Alliance Caucus in the City of Cape Town  has listed several reasons why it has lost faith in its ousted mayor, Patricia de Lille.

In a media briefing at the Civic Centre, a number of councillors alleged that their relationship with De Lille was irreparable.

The  caucus has cited issues like mismanagement, maladministration and bullying. This comes as the Cape Town High Court is expected to rule on Tuesday whether De Lille remains Mayor or not.

De Lille has been embroiled in ongoing battle with the party over alleged maladministration. Her membership of the DA has since been terminated.

During an 11th hour media briefing by councillors in the caucus the disgruntled group listed personal issues and alleged unprofessional encounters with De Lille which left them discouraged as councillors and embarrassed as people.

Meanwhile De Lille says she has full faith in the court and will wait for the court to decided while she continues to fulfill her civil servants duties from her self made office at her Cape Town home.
