South African Pesident Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to be the first leader to deliver a speech via hologram.
Ramaphosa will deliver the keynote speech at the 4th Industrial Revolution SA – Digital Economy Summit at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on Friday.
In a different province is South Africa a hologram of Ramaphosa will be broadcast in real time at the Rustenburg Civic Centre in North West.
A holographic display uses light to give a 3D impression of an image.
This means those watching the hologram in North West will be able to view an image of Ramphosa a though he is physically standing in front of them.
