The High Court in Pretoria has dismissed the application by Gupta-linked companies application to force the Bank of Baroda to continue servicing them.

Earlier this year the Indian-based bank announced that it would be shutting down its operation in South Africa.

Reading the verdict, Judge Moses Mavundla also ordered the 19 applicants to pay the legal costs.

Advocate Tiro Moretlwe, representing the Gupta companies, says his instruction was to accept the verdict and refused to comment further.
