COPE asks electorate to give them a chance to govern

The Congress of the People (COPE) says the electorate should give it a chance to govern.

The party embarked on an election campaign in Eersterus, east of Pretoria on Saturday. COPE Gauteng premier candidate, Dennis Bloem, says people should vote for change on May the 8th.

“I am saying to the people of Eersterus; to the people of South Africa. Give COPE a chance. You’ve voted for the ANC, voted for the DA, voted for the EFF. Give us a chance and after the five years if we have not delivered – chuck us out again.”

COPE says the government has failed its people. The party says it is time people change who they vote for. While some welcomed the idea of changing their colours, others say they have been left out in the cold for far too long.

COPE has also promised to ensure better houses are built for communities if it garners enough seats in Parliament.
