The President may have to give reasons for firing cabinet Ministers if called to do so.
The Constitutional Court on Wednesday dismissed an application for leave to appeal a High Court ruling compelling the President to give reasons for hiring and firing Ministers.
Ramaphosa took the matter to the apex court to seek clarity on the powers of the President.
It follows a 2017 High Court ruling, compelling the then President Jacob Zuma to give reasons for his controversial midnight reshuffle.
