The gun has sounded the start of the 94th Comrades Marathon outside the Durban City Hall in KwaZulu-Natal.
Over 21 000 runners from across the globe braved the chilly early morning conditions at the start of this year’s Comrades Marathon.
All eyes will be on South African Bongumusa Mthembu, who has won the last two Comrades, to see if he can take three wins in a row.
