Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson who were found guilty on the so-called coffin assault case have been denied bail by the High Court sitting in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
This is after they applied for bail pending a petition they submitted to the Supreme Court of Appeal regarding the judgement and sentence. The two were sentenced to 11 and 14 years imprisonment respectively in October for forcing Victor Mlotshwa into a coffin.
Judge Segopotjo Mphahlele says she doesn’t think that another court will give the two a different sentence.
