Various civil organisations have joined a mock trial of the people against President Jacob Zuma.
The trial which was held outside the Prasa offices in Cape Town was a call on people to speak out against state capture.
The mock trial was held to coincide with President Zuma’s representations to the National Prosecuting Authority, on why he shouldn’t be charged with corruption, fraud, money-laundering and racketeering.
#UniteBehind Spokesperson Noncedo Madubedube says, “As opposed to having these conversations in silo’s, we decided to form this coalition. It was organic, where various organisations in Cape or the Western Cape said, ‘listen, we need to do something collectively, because there is power in people’s voice.’”
