The City of Cape Town has handed over 20 new houses to beneficiaries of the Nyanga Housing Project. The beneficiaries of the KTC Phase 3 housing development project includes the elderly and those with special needs.
Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Malusi Booi, says the multimillion rand project is committed to empowering some of the most vulnerable residents in the area.
He says the project is expected to provide housing for more than 235 beneficiaries by April next year.
“We handed houses over with a project of 235 units with a value of over R44 million to the elderly people and the vulnerable which include your disabled people and child headed households,” says Booi.
