City need to show character against Wits – Nodada

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Cape Town City’s battle in the Absa Premiership continues this weekend when they host Bidvest Wits at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday night.

City are currently 13th on the table, and midfielder Thabo Nodada says it is going to be a tough fight against Wits, who are still one of this season’s title contenders.

Nodada knows that Gavin Hunt’s men will always be up for the battle, and City need to be ready for another difficult encounter.

Nodada says they have to be up for the fight against Wits, and he says he has been inspired by the performances of Surprise Ralani in recent games.

Nodada spent a large part of last year out injured and he says it has been a testing time in his career since he has returned this season.

Nodada says coach Jan Olde Riekerink has remained positive despite the form, and it is now up to the players to believe in themselves more.

Olde Riekerink hopes they can take advantage of a few tired Wits legs, as the match against City will be Wits’ fourth game in 10 days.

Olde Riekerink remains confident in his team, and he says the spirit remains high in the camp despite their form.

Riekerink is confident that once his team starts winning regularly, they will find their rhythm and flow. – Report by Rob Delport
