Chippa coach says ready for Amakhosi

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Chippa United’s caretaker coach, Teboho Moloi, has praised his players following Wednesday night’s two nil win over defending Absa Premiership champions, Bidvest Wits in Johannesburg.

This win has moved the Eastern Cape to sixth place on the log.

Chippa is still unbeaten since Moloi took over the reigns from Dan Malesela in September.

They were involved five successive draws before winning their last three matches.

Chippa’s next match is a Telkom Knock Out quarter final encounter against Kaizer Chiefs in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.

Moloi says they are ready for Amakhosi.

“They say if you work hard for it and luck will be on your side and that is what they have been doing. They have been putting too much energy in training sessions, preparations, now they reach the benefits of hard work. It is important they remain focused and very calm.”

Meanwhile, Samuel Julies, who scored both Chippa United goals against Wits had this to say:

“As a professional footballer you need to keep your head calm and just psyche yourself for the next game, forget about the past games. So this coming game is one of those games, so we have to make sure we got all the win that we need.”
