Chiefs, Polokwane City shoot blanks

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says the Absa Premiership season is tough as all clubs are unable to get three points in succession.

Chiefs drew 0-0 against Polokwane City FC in an Absa Premiership match played at the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane  on Tuesday night.

Komphela says he’s not sure if they will able to collect 60 points by the end of the season.

“If you look at the log, nobody gets three points, it is very tight. I don’t know how far it will go, are we going to get a 60 points mark which is more of your usual mark or will get 54 , 53 like the rest of the other seasons is quite tough. It is not easy to pick up points in the Absa Premiership League. We just need to be more consistent.”

The draw sees Polokwane City FC move up to the 11th position on the log.

Coach Bernard Molekwa is concerned that they have not yet won a league game at their home ground, the Peter Mokaba stadium.
