After seven intense rounds, the Rugby Challenge nears the play-offs with one round of games left to go.

The Toyota Cheetahs XV side will take on Border Bulldogs on Saturday at the Clive Solomon Stadium in Heidedal, Bloemfontein.

A win for the Cheetahs on Saturday will secure the Free State side a spot in the semi-finals in Nelspruit, provided the unbeaten log leaders Western Province beat Boland Cavaliers on Sunday at Florida Park in Ravensmead.

Coach Izak van der Westhuizen shares his tactical plans for the match.

Van der Westhuizen, who hails from Kimberley in the Northern Cape, says he believes the Rugby Challenge has been good preparation for some of his players that will join the first side for the Currie Cup in July.

The 33-year-old shares his thoughts of having taken the Rugby Challenge games to the people. – Report by Tshenolo Meruti
