Chaos has erupted at a meeting between African People’s Convention President Themba Godi and residents of some mining areas at Sekhukhune in Limpopo.
Godi is meeting with communities around Steelpoort on the challenges they are encountering with mining companies.
The gathering has been disrupted by some residents who are refusing to recognise Godi’s authority and his intentions.
They allege that they were not consulted about his visit. This further showed divisions among the communities, as they began to argue among each other.
Local traditional leaders are trying to control the situation.
