Bloemfontein Celtic kick-off their 2019/2020 PSL season campaign with a dicey match against newly-crowned Carling Black Label Cup champions Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday.

In the build-up to this match, Celtic unveiled their new home and away kit, and also paraded 10 new signings. Celtic captain Ndumiso Mabena says judging from pre-season friendly matches they played, Masokolara are ready for The Buccaneers.

The former Pirates player, Mabena is impressed with his new teammates.

The 32-year old will not be the only one sporting the captain’s armband this season. The captaincy will rotate among him, midfielder Lucky Baloyi and defender Wandisile Letlabika.

He believes it was a good call from Celtic appointing three captains for one team.

Phunya Sele Sele finished 8th in the league last season. One of Celtic’s new signings, former Chippa United man Tumiso Mogakwe is hoping for silverware for the side this season. – Report by Tshenolo Meruti
