Police Minister and African National Congress National Executive Committee Member Bheki Cele says in an effort to stop an ever increasing crime rate in areas like Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats, communities have to stop harbouring criminals.
He says more than 20 years into a democracy people cannot lay back and expect a better South Africa without stepping in to create a safer country.
Cele was the keynote speaker at the ANC in the Western Cape’s Freedom Day Programme.
