Kaizer Chiefs boss Kaizer Motoung is positive that the newly signed striker Leonardo Castro will help the club to score more goals.
Motaung issued a statement on the club website, where he was wishing club fans a Happy New Year’s Eve.
With Siphiwe Tshabalala and Gustavo Paez conjointly being top goal-scorers of the club with only three goals, Motaung hopes Castro will help finish scarcity of goals at Naturena.
“The Colombian striker, Leonardo Castro is a good acquisition and the striker will make a significant impact on our attacking department, where we haven’t done so well. Scoring goals, however, is not only preserved for strikers in modern football,” says Motaung.
Amakhosi are among the struggling Premier Soccer League teams in scoring goals. Chiefs have only managed to net 13 goals in 15 league games.
