The case of six men accused of shooting and killing five police officers and an off duty soldier in Ngcobo in the Eastern Cape, has been postponed to late in July. They were arrested following an armed robbery at the Ngcobo police station in February this year.

The state prosecutor says the investigation is complete, and it will be sent to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for a decision. The six suspects remain in custody pending their bail application. They face charges of murder, attempted murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

They were arrested during a police raid on the Mancoba Seven Angels Church after a tip-off.
