Call me the prodigal son, back home for the fourth time: Mumuni

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Black Leopards midfielder Abubakar Mumuni says it is fair to call him the prodigal son who keeps returning to the club.

Mumuni has returned for a fourth stint with the club on an undisclosed period.

The man from Ghana spent the 2013/14 and 2014/15 campaigns with Leopards in the National First Division and left for Stellenbosch.

He then returned for the 2016/17 term, but left again this time to join Free State Stars.

Mumuni joins Thuso Phala, Mogakolodi Ngele and Thabo Matlaba as the side’s signings for the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season. He says he is happy to be back.

The 26-year-old admits that he feels good to return to Li Doda Duvha when they are in the Premiership.

Mumuni feels he has some unfinished business in Vhembe.

Mumuni also concedes that Leopards’ signings show the side’s intent for the season saying there is a good balance in the squad. Report by Lethabo Kganyago
