The African National Congress (ANC) is calling for an investigation into a video clip showing people wearing Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) regalia manhandling an elderly woman.
The gogo, adorned in an ANC T-shirt, is seen being dragged by the young people.
It is said to be from Cosmo City in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
Defenders of the violent action against the elderly woman accused her of having tried to commit electoral fraud.
She was apparently trying to vote for a second time when she was aggressively stopped by the men.
The ANC is urging law enforcement agencies to thoroughly probe the matter and bring those involved to book.
The EFF is yet to comment on the matter.
