The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) says it has dispatched a team of crash reconstruction and investigation experts to the site of the bus collision in the Free State.
RTMC spokesperson Simon Zwane says the team will assist in establishing the cause of the crash that has claimed the lives of 8 people.
An Intercape bus overturned on Alma road in Welkom. Three of the passengers killed in the crash were children.
The bus driver is alleged to have committed suicide after the crash as he was found hung on a tree close to the scene of the gruesome crash.
Police say the bus was traveling from Durban to Upington via Welkom.
45 people have been transferred to various hospitals for serious and minor injuries.
A case of inquest have been opened.
Meanwhile, traffic officials are monitoring traffic on the Alma Road.
