The third weekend of the Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League matches came to an end in Pretoria, with the Limpopo Baobabs beating the Eastern Cape Aloes 50-40.
In the other match, the Free State Crinums won by 44-43 against the Golden Fireballs.
There is always calm before the storm. That was the case at the University of Pretoria where the FreeState Crinums were up against the Golden Fireballs.

The two sides then took to the field for the first match of the day. At the end of the first quarter, they were level pegging with the score 12-12.
There were some fireworks in the second quarter of the match.
The Crinums took the game to the Fireballs, looking to establish a lead. At halftime, the score read 26-20 to the Crinums.
However, the Crinums let their six-goal lead slip as the Fireballs were putting them under pressure in the last two quarters.
Both sides were feeling the heat in the later stages of the match. It was an end-to-end situation.
But the Crinums held on to their slender lead for a 44-43 win.
In the other match, the Eastern Cape Aloes were up against the Limpopo Baobabs.

The ladies from Limpopo were enjoying a lion’s share of ball possession and at the first quarter break, the score was reading 12-11 to the Baobabs.
They stamped their authority in the second quarter, bullying the Eastern Cape side. And at halftime, they were enjoying a healthy eight-goal lead.
In the last two quarters, the Aloes were keen to reduce the deficit. However, it wasn’t to be and the Baobabs extended their lead even further.
It was curtains for the Aloes as the Baobabs won the match by 50 goals to 40.
