Police have uncovered a stockpile of military weapons at a storage facility in Kraaifontein outside Cape Town.

The Hawks allege that the items belong to two brothers who’ve been charged with murder.

Matthew and Sheldon Breet allegedly killed Constantia resident, Brian Wainstein at his home earlier this year.

Hawks spokesperson, Lloyd Ramovha says, “The Breet brothers who were arrested by the Hawks on Saturday in connection with the murder of Brian Wainstein are to face additional charges. This follows further investigations where the stockpile of ammunition, grenades, firearms and military hand radios were uncovered. The brothers appeared before the Wynberg Magistrate’s court on Monday, and they are expected to appear at the same court on Wednesday alongside their co-accused on Wednesday.”
