Boks ready to wow Port Elizabeth fans on Sunday

The World  rugby Champions, Springboks, will  tour parts of Port Elizabeth (PE) on Sunday with the Webb Ellis Trophy held high.

The Boks have wowed crowds in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and East London. Now it’s PE’s turn.

Assistant coach, Mzwandile Stick, was born and bred in New Brighton township, where he also started his rugby career as a young boy. He played for clubs such as Springrose and also played for the Eastern Province.

Stick says he is overjoyed to be home.

“This is a special place close to my heart. I am happy to be at home. Unfortunately at the moment I’m controlling my emotions but yeah its good to be in Port Elizabeth. This is where everything started with me.”

The Boks received yet another warm welcome from excited fans when they landed in PE on Saturday.
