Boks look to record second straight win against Italy

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Springboks will be looking to score a second victory in their late-year European tour, when they tackle Italy on Saturday.

They will be confident of a win after bouncing back from a record 38-3 loss against Ireland two weeks ago, to defeat France 18-17 in Paris last Saturday. Revenge will also be on the cards for the Springboks when they confront the Italians in Padova.

This is the first time the two teams will play each other since the Azzurri’s historic 20-18 win against the Boks last November in Florence. Despite their recent 31-15 loss to Argentina, the Italians are not a team to be taken for granted.

Thus the Boks will need to produce a disciplined and clinical performance if they are to avenge last year’s shock defeat suffered at the hands of Italy.
