Black Friday fever hits SA

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Black Friday has turned blue for some shoppers at Canal Walk as they clamoured to enter the Game Store this morning, breaking a glass door at the entrance.

No reports of injuries have been restored and order has been restored.

Meanwhile, shoppers in Cape Town have come out in their numbers to take advantage of the Black Friday deals. Some shoppers say they’ve been shopping since last night when stores opened at 12 AM.

Electronics and gadgets seem to have been the most popular items.

At the Game Store at Canal Walk shopping centre a window was broken apparently as shoppers pushed to get in this morning.

At a sneaker shop queues have formed where some of the big brands are marked down to 300 rand per pair.

One woman from Mitchells Plain says she was at a grocery chain store at five this morning and was not pleased that chicken had already sold out.
