Amajita on track for COSAFA Cup

Reading Time: < 1 minute

South Africa is on the verge of qualifying for the semi final stage of the 2017 COSAFA Cup. They brushed aside Group B opponents Mozambique with a solitary goal.

Amajita coach Thabo Senong’s plan of reaching AFCON as well as the FIFA under 20 World Cup is on track.

His back to back wins against Mauritius and Mozambique means their tactical approach in this tournament is on point. But according to Senong his boys will have to keep their feet firmly on the ground.

“There is a lot to learn from them maybe they can also learn something from us and we’ll take one game at a time. It’s just back to training work hard for 90 minutes and come out of our group”.

Senong’s next hurdle is Egypt on Monday.

South Africa and the Egyptians are tied on points and goal difference in Group B. The two countries have both won two matches apiece.

A draw will mean that both teams will qualify for the semi-final stage.
