Baroka FC chairperson Khurishi Mphahlele is positive his side will do well in the season starting this weekend.

The Limpopo side open their 2019/20 Absa Premiership account against Cape Town City at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 15:30).

Mphahlele says after winning the Telkom Knockout last season he is dreaming about Baroka winning league.

Mphahlele emphasises that he is not crazy by saying he wants coach Wedson Nyirenda to challenge for the championship.

Bakgaga’s opener against the Citizens was initially scheduled for the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue Peter Mokaba but was moved next door due to the maintenance of the pitch.

The club boss says the change in venues is not a problem if anything a good omen for Baroka to commence the term well. Report by Lethabo Kganyago
