Baroka FC wary of ‘wounded’ Polokwane City

There’s high excitement ahead of the Absa premiership Polokwane derby to be played this weekend.

Polokwane City FC will lock-horns with rival Baroka FC at the new Peter Mokaba stadium on Saturday.

Baroka FC are yet to lose a game against Polokwane City FC.

Bakgakga as Baroka FC is fondly called by fans, will want to maintain their unbeaten record against rivals Polokwane City FC when they lock-horns in the Absa premiership, Polokwane derby.

The last three league encounters between the two clubs ended in a stalemate.  Baroka had defeated Polokwane City FC once.

Coach Wedson Nyirenda says Polokwane City will be more dangerous because they haven’t beaten Baroka.

“It will be an exciting game considering that Polokwane are not sleeping the fact that they haven’t beaten Baroka for me that is their biggest motivation that they should do it this time there’s always a first time for everything we are already ready for them.”

Baroka captain Letladi Madubanya says they want to take the Polokwane derby to another level this time.

“We prepared well we study our opponents we have very good coach we want our derby to take another level.”

Polokwane City FC will want to end a string of poor results. The club have not yet score a single goal in their two league games played so far. Coach Joz Vukusic says they had personal problems which affected their performance in the last two games.
