The South African women’s football team has secured top spot in Group A of the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Women’s Championship in Port Elizabeth.

Banyana Banyana, who scored a record 17-0 win, over the Comoros in their opening match, beat Madagascar 3-0 in their final group match at the Wolfson Stadium.

Banyana will play the second placed team in Group C in Thursday’s semifinals.

It will be either Zimbabwe or Eswatini.
