Three precious points are at stake at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana where Banyana Banyana will go for the jugular against Nigeria in their opening match of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations. Desiree Ellis’ charges will need to dig deep into their quality for a result as they open their tournament campaign.

Captain of the South African team Janine Van Wyk hopes that the work they have put in throughout the year will finally pay off against the Super Falcons.

“We know what Nigeria are capable of but we also have a game plan ahead of us for the game hopefully we can execute our tasks as individuals and as a team really well and work for the result that we really want,” says Janine Van Wyk.
