Ghana top group A after a 5-nil thrashing of the home side Uruguay. In the day’s other match, New Zealand beat Finland 1-nil.
The defending champions are North Korea, who open their tournament against Germany Wednesday, while Cameroon take on the United States. Bantwana’s next match is against Japan on Friday.
